How has modern man become so callous to the barrage of information that confronts him everyday? My eyes grow sore, attempting in vain to ignore that flashing content. But I feel there is no escape.
An awareness is coming over me that man is changing. That humankind is becoming somehow less (or more?) than human. In our need for experience, our undying lust for the extreme, we are pushing away from that which is humanity. Becoming somehow more abstracted, less concrete, than we had previously been.
This morning, while watching a parade welcoming of the Year of the Boar , I felt the world around me moving, a vast shifting form of brilliance and pain. I wondered then how much more the heart of man can take.
